- 1.25 lbs Chuck steak
- 3 avocados ripe
- 1 lime juice
- 1 Serrano chili
- cilantro for garnish
- ½ tablespoon onion powder
- ½ tablespoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoon oil
Instructions
Let's Begin!
Steak
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Place the hashbrowns on a baking sheet and bake for 14-15 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Season the chuck steak with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a medium cast-iron skillet over high heat for about a minute. Once the oil is hot, reduce the heat to medium-high and sear the steak for 5 minutes on each side.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Avocado Mash
- While the steak rests, mash the avocados in a bowl. Add the lime juice, salt, and pepper to taste, and mix until smooth.
- If using Serrano chilies for extra heat, slice them thinly.
Let's Assemble
- Slice the rested steak. Layer the crispy hashbrowns with the avocado mixture, then top with the sliced steak. Add Serrano chilies and garnish with fresh cilantro.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the epic flavors!
