my story
A kitchen full of influences
Hi! I’m so glad you found your way to my little corner of the internet. Here you’ll find a joyful mix of recipes inspired by my multicultural journey and a genuine love for food.
Growing up with Ecuadorian parents in sunny California meant I was surrounded by the vibrant tastes of authentic Mexican cuisine and the enticing allure of Asian flavors. At 13, my family moved to Miami, opening my world to the spices and soulful cooking of the Caribbean.
Marrying my Jamaican husband added even more delicious variety to my table. Just like my blog, my kitchen is a joyful hodgepodge of influences. This journey and the way food has shaped my life were recently highlighted in a featured interview with Voyage Houston Magazine.

what I believe
Food should be about balance, discovery and celebration. No recipe is off-limits; every dish is an invitation to savor something new.
I once felt like I had to fit my cooking into one “niche.” Then I realized what makes my kitchen special is its authenticity, a true reflection of my life’s diverse palette.
