Tender Crockpot Beef Back Ribs

5 from 1 vote
Crockpot baby back ribs made easy: beef back ribs simmer low and slow in a flavorful bone broth, then get brushed with BBQ sauce and broiled until sticky, caramelized, and fall-off-the-bone tender.

Ingredients

  • 1 racks baby back ribs
  • 2 cup chicken or beef bone broth
  • 3 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the ribs
  2. Pat ribs dry with paper towels.
  3. Season both sides with garlic salt, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and the 3 tablespoons of mustard, rubbing it in so it coats evenly.
  4. Slow cook the ribs
  5. Pour 1 cup beef bone broth into the crockpot.
  6. Place ribs in the crockpot, meat side up.
  7. Cook on high for 4–5 hours or on low for about 8 hours, until very tender.
  8. Finish under the broiler or grill
  9. Preheat oven to broil on high (or preheat grill).
  10. Carefully remove ribs from the crockpot and place on a foil-lined baking sheet, meat side up.
  11. Brush generously with the browned BBQ sauce.
  12. Broil or grill for 6–7 minutes, or until the sauce is browned, sticky, and slightly charred on the edges.
