Ingredients

Let's gather the ingredients!

  • 1 cup hibiscus flowers
  • 2 lemons peeled and cut
  • 10 dates pitted

Instructions

Let's Begin!

  • Add water to the MIN line of the base.
  • Add hibiscus to the filter basket. Attach the filter basket to the top, and the top to the base.
  • Press the cow button, and when the light stops flashing, remove the contents of the filter basket and add lemon and dates.
  • Run the machine again, and when the light stops flashing, your hibiscus lemonade is ready!
  • If you follow this recipe, it's going to be acidic and fresh. If you want to taste like a lemonade, you can add maple syrup or cane sugar.

Notes

Soft dates blend best: If your dates are firm, soak them in warm water for 5 to 10 minutes first.
Peel the lemons: Removing the white pith keeps the lemonade from tasting bitter.
Sweeten to taste: Add more dates, maple syrup, or honey if you like it sweeter.
Storage: Refrigerate in a sealed jar for up to 3 days and shake before serving.
