Birria Grilled Cheese

Level up your cheese sandwiches with this Birria Grilled Cheese! Crispy toasted bread, melty cheese, and tender shredded beef birria come together for the ultimate comfort food.

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • ½ cup English white cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ cup Oaxaca cheese
  • ¾ cup leftover Birria
  • 2 slices heirloom tomato
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

Instructions
 

Let's Begin!
  1. Preheat the panini press according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, on the panini press. Add the shredded cheddar, queso Oaxaca, birria, and heirloom tomato slices.
  4. Place the second slice of bread on top, mayo-side up.
  5. Close the panini press and cook for 3-5 minutes, until the bread is crispy and golden, and the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove, slice, and enjoy!
